We're very pleased to invite you to the preview of MediaLounge's upcoming show at the Westbeth Gallery. This year's exhibition features the work of first class artists and creative technologists from all across the world. MediaLounge is bringing them together in one space to blow minds, spark conversation, and have some serious fun. 

In the last decade interactive experiences and virtual platforms have become seamlessly integrated into our day-to-day lives, and yet new media art is still finding its role in the art space. Similar to the discussion around photography in the 1970s, the question “is this work fine art?” sparks debate and deep conversation. Interactive art is advancing exponentially. It has gone beyond the canvas and cannot always be framed, auctioned, or appraised. It is evocative and exciting...but we don’t always know how to categorize it.

MediaLounge’s mission is to lead this discussion while inspiring the next generation of makers and creative technologists. The installations featured here are surprising and playful, deep and contemplative, and simple yet elegant. You can choose to think of them as tangible magic or innovative art. Either way they are cool, cutting edge, and changing the way we perceive our surroundings.
